Wordly Word Search · Last updated 20 August 2026
The short version
Wordly Word Search has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of its own. Your puzzle progress, best times and settings are stored only on your device. The app does show ads, and the advertising provider collects data — that part is described below.
What stays on your device
The following never leaves your device and is not visible to us:
- Settings: theme, sound, haptics, timer visibility
- Puzzles completed and best times, per category and difficulty
- Which category and difficulty you last played
- Whether you have purchased Remove Ads
Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no backup on our side and no way for us to recover it.
Advertising
Ads are served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect and process:
- A device advertising identifier
- Approximate (coarse) location, derived from IP address
- How you interact with ads — impressions, taps
- Device and diagnostic information, such as device model and OS version
We do not receive this data or have access to it. Google's handling of it is governed by Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Your choice about consent (EEA and UK). If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the app shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested, and no advertising SDK is started until you have answered it. You can change that answer at any time from the app's own Settings screen, under Privacy options. Declining means no personalised ads.
Your choice about tracking. iOS then asks whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, ads still appear and the game is completely unaffected — the ads are simply less targeted. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
You can also remove ads entirely with a one-time in-app purchase. After that, no ads are requested and the advertising SDK is not asked for anything further.
Purchases
The Remove Ads purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. The app asks Apple whether the purchase exists so it knows to stop showing ads; that is the only purchase information it holds.
Children
Wordly Word Search is intended for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Analytics
None. The app contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
Changes
